A Delta Nine Xmas - CD Cover
What Does It Mean?

What the hell is this CD about... there are no Xmas songs to be found anywhere! Well in reality, after D9 busted up, I realized that there was at least another CD of material that was in the can. So after many hours of examining the said canned material, this CD was produced. It is coincidental that it was finished just prior to Christmas 1998, it was not intended to be finished so close to a holiday. So I named it "A Delta Nine Xmas" in honor of XMAS, or just to confuse people, not sure which is the real reason.

TRACK NOTES

Miss Berkinstock -Dave wrote the words to this one because of the rejection he experienced from a friend at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC.
What's Real? - A rock anthem.
Dive - This is an experimental track, never quite worked out. Lots of great ideas here culled from a practice taping.
C U at The Mall - Another wonderful track regarding the general stupidity of human beings.
Slackertown - Actually a 28+ minute opus, of which 23 minutes are on this CD. An exceptional improv recorded live in the studio.
4 UR Protection - Nice number about the anxiety between man and woman, the dynamic nature of love and longing.
Oblivionward - A Dan Taylor contribution (music), Oblivionward explores the dark side of the artist.
Piece of Shit Estate - Dave lashes out again. At whom, it should be obvious.
Rainbow Flag - "The power of control yearns to take hold"
Small Time Band - recorded live to 2 track cassette this track gives a glimpse into the dynamic of the group during a particularly calm time. Recorded at the now defunct Bailey's in Sylva, NC.
